About the Author
Lindzee Armstrong met her match while attending the local university, although she was technically in high school at the time. She and Mr. Armstrong became engaged quickly, and fell in love even quicker. He wasn't a high school student, but still thoughtfully offered to take her to prom in her wedding dress. She declined. Wearing the wedding dress before the Big Day just seemed weird. A few years after getting married, they welcomed twin boys into the world.

Lindzee loves chick flicks, ice cream, and chocolate, like any true romantic. She believes in sigh-worthy kisses and happily ever afters.

Cute and sweet novella. A clean YA romance to kick off a series. As novellas go, I thought it had a good plot and was a fun intro to characters that we'll get to follow in later books.

Love, Love, LOVE IT!

So, I signed up for a newsletter and ended up with a free book in a series by an author I know but hadn't read anything by yet. So what do I do first? Go through and see which book is first in the series and do I have it or not? Of course, I now have all (except the pre-order). So, with Doodle drawing a chalk picture on the chalkboard painted bar in our dining room and Scribble nestled in my arms, finally fast asleep, I open up my Google Play Books app and start reading.

Well, that was mid-morning. By evening, I had finished this book (it's only a 100-some page novella, to be fair). And the verdict? It. Was. Amazing! I got to the last page and just sat there staring at it. I couldn't believe it was over. And oh, did I ever crave more! If I didn't already own every one that's been published so far, I would have been on Amazon within seconds to get the next in the series. It's that addicting (well, and I might have a teensy book buying problem but shush, no one needs to know that!) Now, here I sit, anxiously writing my review so I can continue on with the series and not worry about giving any spoilers away!

Not a predictable romance

This quick read has all the elements of a great romance, and leaves you hungry for more. Brooke already heartbroken from the betrayals of her father meets Luke on the first day at her new school. Not wanting to be another one of his conquests, she resists his advances despite being increasingly attracted to him. And thus begins the will they won't they story. Brooke and Luke seem made for each other, despite being stuck in the friend zone. Armstrong does a great job bringing realistic characters to life in this fun novella. I can't wait to read more of Brooke and Luke's story.

Human Psychology 101: Understanding the Human Mind and What Makes People Tick is meant to show you the facets of a human being and how they work together to make a person tick. It’s not a psychological treatise or a DSM-V. It’s a collection of my own research of psychology and stories from my life and those of my friends and acquaintances that help illustrate the principles I’m going to be telling you about. I will be dividing this book into seven aspects of human psychology: emotions, personality, decision-making, morality, perception, behavior, and relationships. To understand what makes someone tick is to have mastered a sort of psychological sleight of hand, and I hope that this book serves as a useful step on your way to mastery over that brand of magic trick. How human beings think and behave is an unendingly fascinating study, one that reveals how simple and elegant and, on the other hand, complex and mysterious we all are. I hope you are as pumped as I am to think about the inner workings of how people tick.

Somewhat misleading title

I have to agree with some of my precedessors here, the book is a well-written brochure that stops short of explaining how to actually treat RSI. While I am fully aware that you can not learn such a technique from a book, it would be helpful if the author had gone more into detail in regards to pressure points etc.
On the other hand the book offers a decent overview over the most common RSI's and how they occur, which can be helpful if someone is just starting out in the field. The exercise setion is probaly the most useful part of the book/
However, I feel most people would get more out of a book on trigger point massage such as Donna Finados: Trigger Point self care manual" if your goal is actual pain relief.

i'm very much into "DIY physical therapy, ie: myofacsial release, trigger point therapy etc and thought that this book would be good to add to my arsenal, but all this seemed to be is a book that instructs you to go and find a ART practitioner, not how to do any of it yourself.I understand that some things should only be done by trained professionals, but the books premise is misleading.

I thought from the title of this book that it would be like a synopsis of how to do the ART technique. Instead, most of it was info about how wonderful ART is with some useful information about injuries in general. It does inform about specific anatomy but I didn't really need that part, although it was nice. I just wanted to know how to use the techniques, and I was a bit disappointed.

Good book. When Tessa's pregnancy resulted in the loss of her job, she was left with no income and no insurance. With a mountain of bills resulting from her high risk pregnancy and the certainty that her firing had been unfair at the least, Tessa felt she had no option but to sue the company. Her lawyer wants more than just a quiet settlement, she thinks the company should be made an example of, so the case will be going to trial.

Dragan has worked hard to build the company and prides himself on running a good business. He wants to know if this is a case of someone out for all she can get, or if she really was wronged. Since their lawyers won't let him talk to her directly he comes up with a plan to get her to himself for a few hours so that he can get her side of the story. He doesn't expect her to have her twin girls with her, or that a malfunction with his plane will strand them for several days at his remote Alaskan lodge.�

Overall, I liked Dragan. He really just wants a chance to get at the truth without a bunch of legal wrangling. He's a little cynical about peoples' motives, but that's not too surprising considering the world the way that it is. He does have a reputation of being cold and emotionless, and that's easy to see in his first reactions to the twins, though he certainly isn't cold when it comes to Tessa. He's attracted to her from the moment he sees her, even though he knows it would be a bad idea to act on it.

I liked Tessa also. She hasn't had an easy time of it, and all she really wants is justice. When she's offered a lift in the good looking stranger's plane, she's cautious but she needs to make it to her destination in time for the trial. She's attracted to him, but his less than pleasant attitude about her children puts her off. It isn't until partway through the flight that she recognizes her "savior" and then she's furious. She believes that he's kidnapped her to keep her away from the trial.

When the plane trouble happens, they call a truce. Tessa knows that their lives depend on his skills. Once they are safely down, they have to find a way to coexist until they are rescued. I really liked seeing the way that their close proximity slowly brought down their barriers. The attraction and passion between them was great, but even more I liked the way that they were able to share their pasts. My favorite thing was seeing Dragan become more comfortable around the children. He had been a teen growing up in Sarajevo during the war, and the things that he experienced had caused him to avoid getting close to anyone ever since. It was fun to see the way that the little girls started to melt the ice around his heart. I also liked seeing how Tessa's attitude toward him softened the more she learned about him. She still had a few instances of questioning his motives, but for the most part she really came to trust him. When one of the girls gets sick, Dragan's fear of history repeating itself is hard to see, but he handles it all well. It isn't until rescue comes and they have to part that he realizes just how big a change they have brought to his life. The question becomes if there is anything he can do to make that change permanent.

I loved the conclusion and how Dragan took what he knew about Tessa and looked into what really happened. I was not surprised by what he found out. I had my doubts about Tessa's lawyer until the very end, but what she did really redeemed her in my eyes. I loved his big moment at the end and how he convinced Tessa of his feelings. The epilogue was fantastic.

I really enjoyed this book. The twin girls Maddie, and Missy was the stars of this story. The girls were just learning how to walk. Tessa was a great mom, but her daughter Maddie was a little escape artist. I loved the part where Tessa was feeding the girls spaghetti, that part had me laughing. It was nice to read a light book with very little drama.

Tessa got fired from her job because she was pregnant. She was left with no income, and no health insurance. The worry caused Tessa to go into early labor. The girls had to stay in the hospital for a long time, fighting to live. The hospital bills piled up. She had no choice but to go after the company that caused her so much grief. She wanted her day in court.

Dragan was the president of the company. His legal team advised him to meet her in person, and find out more about her. He had a hand in canceling her flight, so he could offer to fly her, himself in his plane. There was no way he could have predicted that his plane would malfunction, and they would have to make an emergency landing. Tessa, and her twin girls was stranded in a cabin with Dragan. She was so mad when she found out who he was. After her anger dissipated, she knew she had to at least try to get along with him. With the snow storm, they didn't know how long they had to stay there until help arrived. It was Alaska, and plane's didn't fly in snow storms. Dragan started off being cold, because of the pain he faced in his past. In the end the twins won him over. There were several moments that had me laughing along the way. The relationship between Tessa, and Dragan started off very rocky, then grew into friendship, and then something much more. There were several people that reviewed this book that didn't care for it. I on the other hand really loved this book.

A fairly good read

A romance novel is supposed to be fantasy/fiction, and this was. Tessa is suing her former employer for discrimination and Dragon owns the company. He, in essence, kidnaps her though it wasn't planned. His intention is to get her side of the story until his private plane (that he flies) needs to land in an emergency right near his cabin out in no where.

The most entertaining part of the book is Dragon's reaction to the twins. He does not like children and makes it known, yet he ends up helping out with their care while they're secluded.

Tessa's lawyer is obviously modeled after Gloria Allred and it would have been a much better ending if she'd have been put in her place. Tessa comes across as very weak, so not my ideal for a romance heroine. She let her lawyer drag her around like a puppy. She didn't want to go through with the lawsuit and should have stood her ground.

A good short read. Sexual encounter(s) didn't make sense for the story, but this was a romance novel.

This book is ok.

This book has some useful information in it. It's different to many others because they actually did some research. However there are major sections missing including booth rental bthe problem with this sort if book is that they hire a writer who doesn't know the industry instead of a hairdresser who does. Average.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone considering a hair salon, or even if you own one and want to improve. It offers great, solid information that you can definitely use. It has quotes from successful salon owners too so you can learn from their success. I am an accountant and always looking for value and I would definitely say this is worth every penny!

From the start, Leblanc wrote both short crime stories and longer novels – and his lengthier tomes, heavily influenced by writers such as Flaubert and Maupassant, were critically admired, but met with little commercial success. Leblanc was largely considered little more than a writer of short stories for various French periodicals when the first Ars�ne Lupin story appeared. It was published as a series of stories in the magazine 'Je Sais Trout', starting on 15th July, 1905. Clearly created at editorial request under the influence of, and in reaction to, the wildly successful Sherlock Holmes stories, the roguish and glamorous Lupin was a surprise success and Leblanc's fame and fortune beckoned. In total, Leblanc went on to write twenty-one Lupin novels or collections of short stories. On this success, he later moved to a beautiful country-side retreat in �treat (in the Haute-Normandie region in north-western France), which today is a museum dedicated to the Ars�ne Lupin books. He died in Perpignan (the capital of the Pyr�n�es-Orientales department in southern France) on 6th November 1941, at the age of seventy-six.

Continuation of The Golden Triangle

The story is about a women, Veronique, who discovers that her long dead son is actually still alive. Unfortunately, she arrives to see him just as he goes on a murderous rampage. From there it basically becomes a horror story with Veronique trapped on an island as the few remaining survivors are picked off and hung on crosses.

Maurice Leblanc has done a lot of experimentation with Arsene Lupin. Sometimes Lupin is the enigmatic foil working from the shadows. Sometimes the story is told from Lupin’s point of view. One of my favorite books was a series of short stories. He’s been a thief, he’s been a hero and for this and the previous book he’s been nearly absent. Now, in this story and the previous, The Golden Triangle, Lupin becomes a rescuer who sweeps in to save the day. He didn’t show up until halfway through The Golden Triangle and used an alias which led me to speculate that the story was originally not intended to be a Lupin story. The first mention of Lupin in this book is around 40% into the story who is still going by the name of Don Luis Perrena from The Golden Triangle. There is a callback to Captain Patrice Belval who was the actual main character of The Golden Triangle.

The book, like all of Maurice Leblanc's books, is well written and exciting, though for me a touch too long. That is why I gave it a 4 instead of five. The stories are generally the equal of Conan Doyle's Sherlock canon.
